5- De la précision dans ses plans.
Le bon chef doit planifier son travail et travailler sur ses plans. Un chef qui avance à l’aveuglette, sans plan concret et défini, est comparable à un bateau sans gouvernail. Tôt ou tard, il s’échouera, en faisant s’échouer les autres avec lui.
6- L’habitude d’en faire plus que les autres.
Un bon chef désire toujours en faire plus qu’il n’en exige de ses collaborateurs.
7- Une personnalité agréable.
Aucune personne négligée et négligente ne peut devenir un bon chef. Le vrai leadership attire le respect. Les collaborateurs ne respecteront pas un chef dont la personnalité n’est pas agréable et charismatique.
8- De la sympathie et de la compréhension.
Un bon chef doit attirer un minimum de sympathie de la part de ses collaborateurs. Il doit, de plus, essayer de les comprendre en se mettant à leur écoute.
9- La maîtrise des détails.
En plus d’une vision globale, un bon chef ne devra négliger aucun des détails.
10- La volonté d’assumer la pleine responsabilité.
Un chef est responsable des erreurs et des manquements de ses collaborateurs. Si l’un d’entre eux commet une erreur et se montre incompétent, c’est au chef lui même de reconnaître son propre échec, qu’il découle d’un mauvais management ou d’une formation inadéquate.
11- L’esprit de coopération.
Un bon chef doit comprendre et appliquer le principe de l’effort commun, et transmettre cet état d’esprit à ses collaborateurs.
